About

The Chatham County Yard Birds are proud to call Siler City, North Carolina home and even prouder to take the field as a member of the Old North State League. Founded in 2026, this marks the first season in Yard Birds history — and the beginning of something special for our players, fans, and community.

Built as a collegiate wood bat summer baseball team, the Yard Birds exist with one purpose in mind: to serve the players. The Old North State League is designed to give college athletes a competitive, development-focused environment where they can sharpen their skills, gain valuable game experience, and prepare for the next level — all while playing the game they love.

But the Yard Birds are more than just baseball. We are committed to being a part of the fabric of Chatham County, creating affordable family entertainment, engaging with local organizations, and giving fans a team they can rally behind. Every game is about energy, effort, and representing Siler City with pride.

As we begin our inaugural season, we invite you to be part of the journey. From the first pitch to the final out, the Chatham County Yard Birds are here to compete, develop, and build a tradition that will last for years to come.
